Clifton Buck

Clifton Buck ’97 writes, “Shannon and I, along with our two sons Cormac (12) and Oliver (9), are enjoying life on the Georgia coast in Savannah where I am based at the University of Georgia’s Skidaway Institute of Oceanography. I am celebrating my 12th year on the faculty at the UGA and was promoted to full professor of marine sciences. In Spring 2025, I completed my first season officiating collegiate men’s lacrosse as a member of the National Intercollegiate Lacrosse Officials Association. In preparation for the season, I was in Atlanta for a training session. In an amazing coincidence, I chose to eat dinner at the same restaurant as fellow alumnus Clark Wilson ’97, his two sons, and his parents. We had a great time catching up. Unfortunately, no one thought to grab a picture.
